Are you interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church‘s Order of the Daughters of the King and its role here at Grace? This article is part of a series spotlighting nonprofit organizations that receive funding through our Grace Church Outreach Ministry. We seek to partner with organizations that work to make a meaningful difference in one or more of the following areas:
Bridging Hope is a non-profit sexual assault center located in Gainesville, Georgia. We provide comprehensive services to individuals aged 13 and older. Our organization serves six counties in North Georgia: Hall, Dawson, Forsyth, Habersham, Lumpkin, and White.
We employ our own highly trained nurses and our advocates offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and assistance with referrals and resources. An advocate accompanies every client during the process to ensure they feel supported.
Advocates can also attend court hearings, assist during law enforcement interviews (if the client chooses to report), and provide bilingual advocacy and interpretation services. Bridging Hope partners with every college campus in our service area to connect students with our services. We also employ contract educators who deliver our “Let’s Talk” Georgia Board–Certified curriculum to students in grades 6–9 across five of our six counties. This curriculum covers healthy relationships, Georgia sexual assault laws, human trafficking awareness, and strategies for staying safe online and on social media.
We offer free, trauma-informed therapy and support groups delivered by licensed therapists trained in a variety of modalities. At Bridging Hope, we promise to walk alongside every person, supporting them throughout their healing journey.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
