Grace Church has been the Episcopal presence in Gainesville, Georgia since 1828. A faithful congregation committed to worship and service has helped sustain Grace from its initial founding until the present. We work, pray, and give to fulfill our mission of restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. We invite you to be a part of our church family. Grace Church welcomes you!
For almost 200 years, the Spirit has woven our lives together as Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville, Georgia. Through the life and teachings of Jesus, we continue to learn how it is possible to live in the world with compassion, hope, and healing. Through his death and resurrection, we trust that new life is possible even in the darkest of times.
This community’s willingness to explore and embody Christ’s love is deep and broad, and our story is one of resilience and holy risk. We are grounded in the richness of the Anglican tradition, which celebrates beauty in the world and strives to nurture the healing and reconciling presence of Christ in our personal, local, national, and global lives. We will soon celebrate our bicentennial, and we wonder how the Spirit will lead this community into the next hundred years.
If you have heard the Spirit calling to you to practice your faith more deeply, Grace is a community that can support you as you continue taking the steps that lead you toward living into the fullness of Christ’s own life.
Please make plans to be at Grace Church on Sunday, October 27 as we celebrate the ministry of the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Park!
There will be a breakfast reception for Cynthia and Jack at 9:00 AM in the parish hall. Following the breakfast, Cynthia will preach at a combined Eucharist at 10:00 AM.
