The nursery is located in the children’s education wing and is available to all children age 4 and under. The nursery is open on Sunday mornings from 8:00 AM until noon, during both worship services and the Christian Education hour.

Christian Education (Sunday School) is offered for children age PreK – 5th grade on Sundays during the church school year from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. The church school year generally runs from mid-August to mid-May. Learn more about Children’s Formation at Grace.

Children, ages 3 (by September 1) to kindergarten, are invited to participate in Children’s Chapel each Sunday during the 10:45 a.m. service. Children’s Chapel is an opportunity for little ones to learn to about worship and helps them make the transition to “big” Church. Children begin the service in the Nave with their families before being blessed and released to Children’s Chapel. They rejoin their families in the main service at the Presentation.

All baptized Christians, including children, are welcome to take Communion in the Episcopal Church.

To receive, please proceed up the center aisle, when your pew is directed to do so by an usher, and fill around the altar from the back to the front. If you do not wish to receive the consecrated bread and wine, simply cross your arms over your chest. We will offer a blessing for you as we share in Holy Communion. You may stand or kneel at the altar rail. Please return to your seat by the side aisles.

If you are not baptized and would like to explore Holy Baptism, please speak to one of the clergy after the service.  We would be honored to share a conversation with you!

Compassion

Contact Brenda Morgan by phone or email. You may also sign the prayer book in the narthex or the chapel. Please remember to include first and last names when appropriate. (Single names are also accepted.) Names are kept on the prayer list for 3 weeks.

Participation

Online sign up forms are now integrated onto the event pages of our website. Some events have paper sign-up sheets at the information station in the connector corridor. Click here to make a reservation for a Wednesday night supper.

If you have suggestions for programs that will help you and others grow in faith and Christian commitment, please contact one of the clergy to discuss the possibilities. Many groups/projects have emerged this way. The clergy and staff welcomes your ideas and participation!

Joining the church can be done through baptism, confirmation, or transfer of membership from another parish or another denomination. Learn more about how to join Grace.

Administrative

To schedule a church meeting or event contact the Director of Communication. To make sure you are able to reserve the day, time, and location you need, give the church as much advance notice as possible.

Information about how to schedule community events at the church can be found on the Facility Use page of this website.

Please contact Brenda Morgan by phone or email to update your contact information.

The altar flower calendar and donation forms are located at the information station in the connector corridor. To reserve a date, write your name on the calendar, fill out the form and send it, along with payment ($50 suggested donation) to the church office prior to your reserved date. Checks should be made payable to Grace Church with ‘Flower Fund’ noted on the memo line. You may also place the form and your check in the offertory plate.

To simplify the donation process, you can fill out the form and make your donation online.

Financial

Contact the parish administrator by phone at 770-536-0126.

Contributions can be made online. Be sure to select the appropriate Contribution Type in the drop down menu and include any special instructions in the Memo line.

Checks, made payable to Grace Church, can also be mailed to the church office at 422 Brenau Avenue, Gainesville, GA 30501. Send contributions to the attention of Reba Page and please indicate the name of the fund in the memo line.

Yes you can! Go to www.gracechurchgainesville.org/pay/, then choose check or credit card. Select the appropriate payment type in the drop down menu (i.e. meal, workshop, pilgrimage/trip) and write specific information in the description line.

Communication

We send our newsletter by email every Friday morning. If you wish to receive the e-vangelist, click here to join our email list. During the sign up process, select Parish Newsletter – The Evangelist as one of the areas of interest for which you would like to receive emails from Grace Church.

Our email list is divided into several additional sub-lists that allow us to target information according to your interests.

Submit information for the newsletter by contacting the director of communication by phone 770-536-0126 or by email. The deadline is 9:00 AM every Monday.

The email list is self-subscribe and completely separate from our regular parish database. The parish office will not add addresses to the email list. This ensures that we only send mass emails to people who wish to receive them. If you have never received an email from Grace Church, you may not be on our list. Click here to join.

Open any Grace Church email and click the link that says “Update Profile/Email Address” at the bottom. You should then receive an email with a link to your registration page, where you will be able to edit your email address and areas of interest. If you no longer have access to your old emails, use the link on our website to sign up again with your new email address.

Click the button that says “SafeUnsubscribe” at the bottom of any email you have received from Grace Church. This will open a page where you can remove your email address from specific interest lists (i.e. no longer wish to receive the newsletter by email but want to stay on the Parish Wide email list) or opt-out of receiving all future communications. Once your opt-out choices have been made, you are automatically removed from the chosen lists.

If you unsubscribe to all of the mailing lists, you will be added to the ‘Do Not Mail’ list and Grace Church will no longer be able to send you emails through the list. Please note however, that unsubscribing from the email list will not prevent the parish office from being able to email you individually should the need arise, provided we also have your email address in our regular parish database. The information we have on file in the parish database (maintained by the parish secretary) is completely separate from the email list.
