Sound Bath

Wednesday, December 6

Advent is a time to prepare our hearts for the mystery of Christmas. A time to watch and wait and be present. In the hustle and bustle that often accompanies this season, taking time to center ourselves and tap into the spirit of Advent can be hard to do. If you’re longing for a time to rest and reflect, please join us on Wednesday, December 6 at 6:00 PM in the Nave. Rebecca Turk is returning to Grace to lead us in a sound bath for Advent.

A sound bath is one of the most relaxing experiences you can give yourself. It is an effective form of deep rest and rejuvenation for your physical body & your mind. Just 30 minutes of rest and meditation in a sound bath is equivalent to 2 hours of deep sleep. Rebecca will incorporate the healing sounds from her quartz crystal bowls (tuned to your body’s energy system), a native drum which mimics the sound of ocean waves, and the gentle tones from Koshi chimes into a virtual sound journey. Sound bath experiences are cleansing and rejuvenating on the deepest cellular levels, connecting mind, body, and spirit. For more information see www.sndbath.com

For the most restful experience, bring your yoga mat, a blanket, and any bolster or pillow you prefer and experience the sound bath resting in Savasana. You may also choose to experience it sitting in the pews, and you’re welcome to bring a cushion or pillow to make you more comfortable.

The December 6 sound bath at Grace is free and open to the community. There is no need to register.
