We will observe the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday services on March 2.
The services will feature prayers, a sermon, the Litany of Penitence, and the Imposition of Ashes. Let us focus our prayers in these days as we remember that God’s presence surrounds us.
Fr. Stuart will offer a five-week Inquirer and Newcomer’s class on Sundays, February 27, March 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 9:30 AM in the chapel. Those new to Grace since 2019 are especially encouraged to attend. Please call or email Fr. Stuart with any questions.
The reservation deadline for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper has been extended until noon on Monday, February 28! We hope you plan to join us on Tuesday, March 1 at 5:30 PM in the Parish Hall. Come support our youth while you feast before the fast!
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 2, with an invitation to observe a holy Lent. After what feels like This year’s Lent resource kits, with a focus on wellness and wholeness, will be available for pick up in the lower foyer this Sunday, February 27. There will be a few extras, first come first serve, for households that did not get a chance to reserve one in advance.
There will be no Compline service on Tuesday, March 1. Compline will resume on March 8. We hope you will join us on Zoom every Tuesday at 8:00 PM.
Our parish-wide focus during Lent is “Wellness and Wholeness.” One of the key elements in this focus includes participation in the sacramental life of the Church. In this light, we want to extend an offer to any who are homebound, for whatever reason, to have Holy Communion brought to you at some point during the five weeks of Lent.
The clergy are assisted in this ministry by a team of trained Eucharistic Visitors. Communion brought to private homes or nursing homes comes from the same consecrated bread and wine that is offered at our in-person worship services on Sunday. Keeping this connection to our in person worship is a wonderful way to nurture healing and a strengthen a sense of wellbeing. If you are interested in receiving communion, please call the parish office 770-536-0126. We will call you and schedule a convenient time.
Registration is now open for our Lenten Retreat with Rev. Mary Demmler! Join us at Grace on Saturday, March 12 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for conversation, sharing, and even a little cooking as we explore the prayers and meditations that naturally flow when we practice mindfulness in the kitchen.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
