Pentecost Party & Reception

Sunday, May 19

We remember that Easter is a Season with fifty days, culminating in the Feast of Pentecost! This year, we have the chance to celebrate a few things at one time on Sunday, May 19, and we wanted to make sure you put this date on your calendar.

On that Sunday we will celebrate all our graduates during the 10:45 AM Eucharist. If you will graduate (or have a child graduating) this spring/summer, please submit the online information form on or before 9:00 AM on Monday, May 13 to be included in the graduate recognition slideshow.

In addition, we will have staff available from 9:30 – 10:30 AM to help guide people to use the online directory. As you know, we have worked hard to find ways to further connect us as a community, and the directory app that is available for our phones is a fantastic way to stay connected—as well as having ongoing access to your family’s pledging and parish information for easy access. For anyone who would like a tutorial or help setting it up, we will be available in the greeting area at that time. Please bring an individual and/or family photo on your phone that we can help you upload to the directory.

Fr. Stuart’s new collection of poetry, Bones of Light: Poems of Spiritual Imagination has been released by Crossroad Publishing Company. Some have already reserved copies of the book, and if you would like to purchase a copy you can use the publisher’s link here: Bones of Light.

During the Sunday forum hour on May 19, we will have snacks in the parish hall with time to share a poetry reading and reflection on the role of spiritual imagination in the life of a Christian community.

Finally, the parish choir will offer an Evensong for the Feast of Pentecost at 4:00 PM that afternoon.

So, mark your calendars for Pentecost this year and make sure to share in the life of this incredible community!
