In one sense, Mary has known since the Annunciation that this moment was coming. And her acceptance of God’s will has brought her to the helplessness of watching her beloved son walk toward his own death. What final glimpses into each other’s hearts must have happened in that moment.
The very thought of certain people in our lives can give us hope in the most hopeless situations. Whose image or presence has comforted you during this time?
Choose one or more strips of fabric from the box below. Write the name(s) of those who comfort you during this time. Give thanks for these people, and tie the fabric strips to the hanging cord provided. Let the wind carry your prayers and your hope to the world.
When you’re ready, offer this prayer and move to the next station. map
We adore you, O Christ and we bless you. Because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world. Amen.
