A New Parish Family Photo

Every few years, usually on picnic Sunday, we try to gather for a Grace parish family photo. Large group photos can be challenging, but we’ve gotten some pretty good ones. Past photos have been taken from the Brenau crow’s nest (2013), Grace bell tower (2015), and our choir loft (2018). This year we used a drone! (click images to enlarge)

Prayer Yoga

Prayer Yoga classes will not meet on Mondays, May 30, June 6, or June 13. Participants are welcome to join the Thursday class instead! Chair yoga meets Thursdays at 10:00 AM and on your mat yoga meets at 11:00 AM. The zoom link can be found in the newsletter email.

Parish Office Closed

The parish office will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 30.

With Enormous Gratitude

Do you remember what it felt like to walk into Grace the very first time? I remember when Lisa and I walked into Holy Trinity in Decatur, (it feels like back when the earth’s crust cooled). There were folks standing there with smiles, warm wishes, and helpful bulletins, which we really appreciated since we had no idea of what to do. I have always given thanks for the ushers who are the first folks anyone meets when they come to worship. I want to take a moment and thank all those who offer themselves to be that welcoming presence.

Brian Bowron, Jim Brim, Brantley Burns, Edith Collins, Newsom Cummings, Nate Early, Kevin Flack, Randall Frost, Hank Goble, Bob Goldmann, Polly Jones, Bill Kantola, Charles Kelley, Doug McDuff, Pete Miller, Patrick O’Rouke, Zach Pittman, Keith Rooks, Tom Rossi, Doug Smith, Dan Stephens, Warren Stribling, James Thornton, and Joey West.

Blessings,
Stuart
