Evensong

Join us for an Evensong for the Feast of the Visitation at Grace Church on Sunday, June 4 at 4:00 PM.

Sung at the close of day in Cathedrals and churches all over the world, Choral Evensong focuses on the ancient practice of singing evening prayers. The congregation listens, joins in the hymns, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir.

The parish choir will offer additional Evensongs on November 5, January 28, March 3, April 21, May 19, and June 9 in preparation for their residency at Cathedral Church of St. Peter in Exeter, England in August 2024.

Parent Survey

Grace Parents! If you have children birth to twelfth grade, we want to hear from you! The Rev. Brandon Nonnemaker joins us at the end of July and we are collecting information for him that might be of use. We are excited to see how he will partner with all of you to continue to develop our ministries for children, youth, and families. Please take just a few minutes to complete the online survey – the link can be found in the parish newsletter. The data will be compiled and given to Brandon+ when he arrives. This information will give him a sense for where our strengths and our places for improvement might be.

Thank you for giving us a few minutes to share your thoughts!

Prayer Blankets

Our “Therapy Thursday” group of friends has graciously donated several very snuggly large lap blankets that they made. The blankets are edged with fringed knots and each knot represents a prayer for the person receiving the blanket. We have several of these available for gifts. They are ideal for someone receiving chemo therapy and spending hours in a cool room or someone recovering at home for a long period of time. If you know of someone who might appreciate the gift of one of these blankets, please call the church office at 770-536-0126 and we will make it available to you. There are different styles, and so please indicate whether you’d like a pink or blue themed blanket.
