News for September 20-26

Telling Our Story

Our annual stewardship campaign, Telling Our Story, is underway! When making your pledge to the mission and ministry of Grace Church for 2021 we invite you to also share a brief story of your life during these days. How do our stories weave together and open our eyes to see God’s compassionate presence all around us? And how can Grace Church build on the richness of these stories and step even more fully into the years to come as a Christian community?

In-Person Evening Prayer

Grace Church is excited to offer Evening Prayer on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 6:30 PM, following updated regathering protocols issued by the diocese that now allow for in-person outdoor gatherings of up to 50 people. The service is held in the parking lot at the corner of Boulevard and Brenau Avenue or under the porte-cochère along Boulevard in inclement weather. Registration is required, details can be found at the registration link below.

Prayer Pilgrimages in Nave

Prayer Pilgrimages are now offered in our nave for those seeking a physical connection to our sacred space. Following protocols issued by The Diocese of Atlanta, we are limited to thirty minutes and eight attendees at a time for indoor gatherings. Sessions are currently held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-2:30 PM or from 2:30-3:00 PM. Please email Fr. Stuart if you are interested in attending at another time that would work better for your schedule. Masks, physical distancing, and registration are required. We hope you will be able to take advantage of this time for intentional prayer, contemplation, and rest during the week.

Your Pet Photos Wanted

Our annual Blessing of Animals will be incorporated into both the 9:00 AM Zoom and 10:45 AM live-stream services on Sunday, October 4. Make plans to bring your pets to (virtual) worship that day!

We’d also like to share a photo of your pet(s) prior to the start of the live-stream service and also on our social media that day. Send your favorite photo, along with your pet’s name, to Jennifer on or before Wednesday, September 30.

Not too Late to Join Compassion Camp!

How do we practice our faith in these particular days? How are we called to show compassion, not only to our brothers and sisters, but to ourselves as well? Fr. Stuart would love for you to come learn more at Compassion Camp! If you missed the registration deadline but are still interested in participating, please email Cheryl Kelley.
