The parish choir, accompanied by a chamber ensemble, will present Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem at 6:00 PM on All Saints’ Sunday, November 3. The work was commissioned in 2008 and has received countless performances since then, making it one of Goodall’s most popular choral compositions. Like Fauré’s Requiem, Goodall’s interpretation centers on those who are grieving rather than the salvation of the departed.
A short service of remembrance with the reading of names and prayer for those in our lives who have died will begin the concert.
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 3. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday evening!
We’d love for you to return your pledge cards by Sunday, November 3. Extra cards are available at church or your pledge can be made online. Thank you for your continued support of the mission and ministry of Grace Church!
Please note that incense will be used at the 10:45 AM service on Sunday, November 3.

Grace adults gather each month in the Youth Room to watch and discuss movies old and new addressing a wide variety of subjects. A very casual occasion, participants often bring a little food and drink to share. We always have a good time and lively discussion—join us at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 8.
Our Family Promise guests will be with us from November 10-17. Please visit the sign up board in the greeting area to see ways you can help.
Grace Church is collecting Thanksgiving groceries (or funds to purchase groceries) for the Salvation Army. Complete information and a list of needed items can be found here. Please make a contribution or return groceries by Monday, November 18. Thank you for your continued support!
Our Angel Tree will be up in the Greeting Area beginning November 3. Each Angel will include a child’s name and the desired gift, either a toy or clothing. All gifts should be returned unwrapped, with the angel tag firmly attached, no later than Wednesday, November 27.
Grace Church would like to use original artwork by children and youth as part of our Bicentennial Celebration. Children (up to 5th grade) are asked to illustrate what LOVE or PRAYER looks like to them. Youth (6th – 12th grade) are asked to illustrate what BELONGING looks like.
Drawing sheets are located at the information table or art can be submitted on a piece of unlined white drawing paper no larger than 11″x14″. Please use colored pencils, paint, crayons, charcoal, pencil, or markers. Don’t forget to include your name and age!
