We begin Holy Week at Grace Church on Palm Sunday with a commemoration of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
On Maundy Thursday we celebrate the institution of what we have come to see as the Holy Eucharist and on Good Friday commemorate the Crucifixion of our Lord. The Great Vigil on Saturday evening is the pivotal service that symbolically marks the transition of Jesus Christ from death to life. These three days are known as the Easter Triduum and are often treated as one single, continuous liturgy.
Our celebration of the Resurrection will continue with services and family activities on Easter Day.
We invite you to join us – all are welcome!

Easter FlowersHelp us make this year’s Easter egg hunt extra fun for our kids! We’re asking for donations of plastic eggs filled with individually wrapped candy. You can drop them off at church anytime before Sunday, March 29.
Please join us for our Grace Forum on Sunday, March 29 (Palm Sunday), from 9:30–10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall, where we will be blessed by a special performance from the Gainesville Ballet Company. Eighteen (18) ballerinas will offer a dance as part of our journey through The Artist’s Way, as we explore creativity as a sacred gift and reflect on how artistic expression deepens and enriches our spiritual lives. All members of our congregation, along with our children and youth formation classes, are warmly invited to share in this beautiful morning of faith, art, and community.
There are no CE classes on April 5. The Artists’ Way Forum will resume after Easter, and run until the end of April. Sister Genevieve Lynn will speak on the 12th, Henry Troutman will entertain with culinary arts on the 19th, and we will have a show and tell discussion on the 26th.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
