Stations of the Cross for Pandemic Days

The Stations of the Cross are a deeply powerful practice that asks us to bring our whole selves–the grief, the confusion, the searching–and lay it alongside the journey Jesus took in his own great moments of suffering. A unique Stations of the Cross for these pandemic days has been installed around the campus of Grace Church. The first Station is located on the front porch of the church, under a tree near the bottom of the bell tower.

Use your phone to scan the QR code at each station and access the prayers located online. There are interactive components (including the new labyrinth which has been incorporated as part of the Tenth Station), and invitations for reflection. The prayers of each Station are also recorded by parishioners so you can listen as you read.

We hope you take the time to come experience the Stations of the Cross as well as invite others who you know are seeking and wondering at this time. Or, if you are unable to come in person, explore the prayers and reflections completely online, beginning with the First Station.

New Thursday Yoga Class

Come join our Grace yoga community as we branch out and offer another flow class on Thursdays at 11:00-12:00. We are currently meeting on Zoom and all levels are welcome. We will work on core strength, flexibility, and balance. To register and get the link, or if you have any questions, please email Karen.

Forward Day by Day

Forward Day by Day is a booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer. Copies of the booklet for August/September/October are now available. You can pick up a copy at some of the Stations of the Cross locations on the Grace Church campus. If you would like a physical copy mailed to you, email your address to Reba Page. Please specify if you would like a regular or large print (limited quantity) edition.

The meditation is also posted online every day of the year for you to consider and discuss, and available as a daily email, podcast, or via smartphone app at the Forward Movement website.
