The School for Christian Practice is an intentional framework that nurtures the community’s mission to seek reconciliation and wholeness with God and one another in Christ. By centering ourselves in our practice of prayer, we can grow in our awareness of our union with God and one another, and we can foster a spirit of transformation in our personal lives and in our community.
How is the Spirit of Christ encouraging us to continue learning about our faith and practice of prayer? How does our practice nurture and encourage us in our daily lives? We invite all members to explore the richness of their faith and grow in a greater awareness of God’s presence in their lives through the formation opportunities found at the links below.
Choristers and St. Cecilia choir are on a break until warmer weather and all Parish Choir gatherings have moved to Zoom. Email Will Gotmer for more details about all of choirs.
Our ability to create choral music in person is limited right now, but we can still listen to great music! Our Director of Music, Will Gotmer, is sharing weekly playlists on Spotify with an excellent variety of choral music connected to our liturgical calendar.
In response to the heightened need to stay in touch with each other during the COVID-19 pandemic, Grace activated an old-school phone tree. We attempted to arrange families, couples, and singles into small clusters based on existing connections. We hope this offers another possibility for passing along prayer requests, good news, and concerns to each other and to the clergy.
The pastoral care team, which includes clergy and lay chaplains, can also help to refer to outside counseling help, where needed. Someone will always be able to respond in an emergency, but the staff is committed to the practice of observing a Sabbath rest to be with family on Friday and Saturday
