Grace 200

Help us bring GRACE 200 to life!

Documentary Filming & Thanksgiving Feast

We’re creating Grace 200, a short documentary film celebrating 200 years of Grace Episcopal Church; our rich history, the people who have shaped it, and the vibrant life of Grace today.

On Saturday, November 14, a professional production crew will be at Grace to film a special worship service. It will be a unique experience, complete with cameras, lighting, music, all-day snacks, our annual potluck Thanksgiving Feast, and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at documentary filmmaking.

All parishioners are encouraged to participate! We’re hoping to fill the pews with every part of the Grace family, young and old, families and singles alike, so the film truly reflects the full breadth of our parish community. This means that your presence is important.

See details and sign up below.

Documentary Filming

10 AM - 4 PM

Wear what you would usually wear to a Sunday service and plan to arrive around 9:30 AM. Bring your potluck dish to the parish hall and visit the “craft services table” for coffee and refreshments! Make sure to allow enough time to check in at the table in the lower foyer prior to entering the nave.

Filming will begin promptly at 10 AM and wrap up around 4 PM, with plenty of small breaks throughout the day and a longer break for the Thanksgiving Feast at lunchtime. Ideally the production team would like a full nave starting at 10 AM but come when you can and leave when you must. We’d much rather you be here for only part of the day than not at all.

Thanksgiving Feast

mid-day

Bring your favorite Thanksgiving side dish or dessert to share and drop it off in the parish hall at 9:30 AM. Grace Church will provide turkey and drinks.

We’ll take a mid-day break from documentary filming to enjoy a feast and each other’s company, as we give thanks for all the blessings in our lives.

We hope you plan to join us on Saturday, November 14 as we give thanks for 200 years of God’s grace and the faithful community that continues that story today.
