Behold Who You Are

Dear People of Grace,

It is an honor to write to you as we begin our annual stewardship campaign. This year, our theme is “Behold Who You Are,” a beautiful reminder from the liturgy of the Eucharist: “Behold who you are, the body of Christ. May we become what we receive.” This serves as an invitation for us to reflect on how we are called to embody Christ’s presence in the world.

During my time serving on the vestry, I have witnessed the extraordinary generosity of our congregation—not only in financial contributions but also in the countless hours and many talents shared in service to one another and our community. This giving reflects the love and commitment we share as the Body of Christ. Through prayer, formation, worship, and service, we are not just a congregation; we are truly the Body of Christ, actively living out our faith in ways that nourish and uplift us all.

My family and I have found that contributing our time and resources to Grace has deepened our connection to the congregation and grounded us in our faith. We have been blessed by our time here, being spiritually, emotionally, and relationally fed in so many ways. I’ve seen the transformative power of Grace at work in the lives of others—whether it’s the support of a parishioner during a time of need or the outreach that touches our broader community. When we give of ourselves—through prayer, service, or financial support—we participate in something far greater than ourselves.

I ask that you prayerfully consider your stewardship pledge for the coming year, and I encourage you to remember the words of the Eucharist: “Behold who you are, the body of Christ.” Each of us is a vital part of this body, and together we are becoming what we receive—the very presence of Christ in the world. Your participation is deeply valued and needed. While financial giving is crucial to sustaining our ministries, our time and talents are equally important, enabling us to live into our calling as the Body of Christ. Together, our contributions allow Grace to continue its transformative work.
