Grace Church Friends of Music welcomes the Franklin Pond String Quartet on Sunday, September 22 at 4:00 PM. Concert is free; a reception will follow in the parish hall.
Founded in 2001 by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinist Ronda Respess. The Franklin Pond Players are all members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and are on the faculty of Franklin Pond Chamber Music. Franklin Pond Chamber Music is committed to educating and empowering young musicians in performance, communication, and leadership through year-round chamber music. FPCM develops the artistic and interpretive talents of its students while building valuable life skills in the process. Students have regular coaching sessions with faculty members from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Opera, masterclasses with internationally renowned guest artists, special courses such as eurhythmics and Alexander Technique, and a diverse array of performance opportunities.
In the broader community, Franklin Pond promotes classical music by offering performances of the highest quality, workshops, master classes and special programs designed to engage, educate and inspire music lovers of all ages.

Grace Church is located at the corner of Boulevard NE and Washington St SE in Gainesville. map
Parking is available in two lots located off Brenau Avenue, with handicap spaces in the lot at the corner of Brenau Avenue and Boulevard. Free street parking is also available.
You may enter through the main church doors facing Boulevard (directly under the bell tower), though our St. Francis Garden (handicap accessible) at the corner of the Brenau/Boulevard corner parking lot, or via the small stairway at Washington Street. Greeters and/or ushers will be available to welcome you to Grace Church, offer assistance, and answer any questions you may have.
For Your Comfort
Assistive listening devices are available for those who are hearing-impaired. There are also cushions available to make the wooden pews a bit more comfortable. Please ask an usher.
