Virtual services are held on Sundays at 8:15 and 10:45 AM and every weeknight at 8:00 PM. Please visit our Grace@Home page for links and to see all the ways we are staying connected to one another, to Grace, and to God!
422 Brenau Avenue, Gainesville, GA 30501
Beginning January 18
The first offering of The School for Christian Practice will be a book study of Diana Butler Bass’s pivotal work Christianity After Religion. It is an important work, and our discussion will help us gain much needed language to be able to continue sharing our experiences and hopes not only for our parish but for the wider Christian community. Later in Lent, Cheryl Kelley will offer a class on stages of faith development, and in Easter Season, the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Park will offer a class on language and scripture.
The book study will be on Zoom, and we will offer two times each week, Mondays or Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, for four weeks. The dates are January 18 or 19, 25 or 26, February 1 or 2, and 8 or 9. You can choose whether Monday or Tuesday works best for you each week and log on.
I hope you will take the time to share in these conversations, because this is the level of work we are being called to do as a community in these days–and looking toward the future.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
