The Reverend Mary Demmler

Associate Rector for Youth Formation

Email

The Rev. Mary R. H. Demmler has been a priest in the Episcopal Church since 2004 and worked in parishes around the Southeast. She first joined the staff as a Priest Associate in 2019, transitioning to an Associate Rector for Youth Formation in the fall of 2022. Mary’s focus is solely youth and their families, working to nurture this vital part of our common life. She will also help with Sunday services and other liturgies from time to time.

Currently she lives in Hall County with her family on their farm where she works as a project manager. She continues to write, having published her first book in early 2022, and maintaining her blog, prayerfulkitchen.blog. Mary leads one day and weekend retreats on a variety of spiritual topics.

Her husband, Derek, is an educator at Gainesville High School. Their three kids, River, Bailey, and William, enjoy acting and the arts, playing sports, spending time on the farm, and being involved in church life.
