Children's Formation
Everything that encompasses the children's programs (PreK-5th grade) at Grace is called the "Discovery" program. The goal of the program is to explore God's Word and discover His will for us.
Education
We use Gospel Light Curriculum for all classes in the Discovery program. During our Sunday school hour, scripture is presented to each class in age appropriate ways and then children have the opportunity to build on their discoveries during creative play time. (Each class has 2 leaders, but parents are encouraged to help fill in when leaders are absent.) All four classes below meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.
- Explorers The PreK & Kindergarteners meet in Room 210.
- Adventurers The 1st & 2nd graders meet in Room 211.
- Pathfinders The 3rd and 4th graders meet in Room 109.
- Trailblazers The 5th graders meet in Room 120.
Children's Chapel
Children ages 3 (by September 1) to 6 are invited to
participate in Children’s Chapel each Sunday from
10:45-11:15 AM, during the first half of the 10:45 service.
Children’s Chapel is an opportunity for little ones to learn
about worship, and helps them make the transition to “big”
Church. They learn a child’s creed, the Lord’s prayer, and
discuss the Gospel on their level. Music is an integral part
of the worship experience. Children join their parents in
the church at announcement time. Melinda Somerville leads
Children’s Chapel in room 210 of the Children's wing, just down
the hall from the church nursery.
Note: Parents are asked to take turns
assisting in Children's Chapel.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is held for one week each summer
for children ages 4 through 5th grade. Music, food, art,
recreation, and Bible lessons are a part of this fun and
inspiring week for all of our children. VBS is also open to
children in the community.

Children also present the Christmas Pageant at the 4:00 PM service each Christmas Eve.
Choristers
Kids in grades 2 - 8 are invited to join choristers.
Choristers rehearse weekly during the school year and sing
once or twice per month at Sunday services, and for special
services on Christmas Eve and Easter.
