Who Can Receive Communion
All baptized persons are invited to receive communion, including children. After receiving the wafer, it may be consumed, followed by a sip of wine from the chalice (please assist the chalice bearer in guiding the chalice to your lips.) Alternatively, the wafer may be dipped in the chalice and then consumed. If you do not want to receive the wine, simply cross your arms across your chest after consuming the wafer. If you do not want to receive Communion, but desire a blessing, then simply cross your arms across your chest when you first arrive at the rail. When the person next to you has received Communion or a blessing, please return to your seat by the side aisle.
Children's Chapel
Children ages 3 - 6 are invited to participate in Children's Chapel from 10:45 - 11:15 AM in room 210 of the children's education wing. Children's Chapel follows the Prayer Book Service of the Word and includes a creed, confession, prayers of the people, the Lord's Prayer, and a story that is based on the Gospel lesson for the day. Music is an integral (and favorite!) part of the worship experience. Children join their parents in "big church" at announcement time. Please note that a parent should accompany children age 3.
Nursery
The nursery is located in the children's education wing and is available to all children from birth to four years of age. The nursery is open on Sunday mornings during worship services and during the Christian Education hour from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. The nursery is also open by reservation for other programs and events, as advertised.
Greeters
Greeters are stationed just before you enter the church to welcome parishioners and visitors to Grace Church. If you need assistance or have a question, please look for a person wearing a greeter nametag with a white ribbon attached.
Visitor Cards
Visitor cards are located at the end of each pew. If you visit us for a church service, we would love to have a record of your visit and will be happy to send you more information about Grace Church.
