I’ve learned that it’s risky business to begin naming names when publicly offering thanks, but it is necessary for me to list a few folks without whose help this huge project would either never have gotten off the ground or would still be in progress.
Rosemary Dodd, Martha Jacobs, Reverend Fred Jones, and Reverend Don Harrison offered so many ideas in the way of design and color.
Mike Whitmire was kind enough to take time out during his busy term as Senior Warden at Grace Church to handcraft the wooden tighteners for the stitching frames.
Peggy Peacock was always available to lend a hand and an idea.
Leonard and Nancy Parks were very kind to transport the completed kneelers back “home” from the finishers, at a time that was not the most convenient in their lives.
Marsha Conner stepped forward to provide the archival labels for the back of each kneeler.
The office staff of Grace Church lent a hand whenever we needed publicity, photographs, or just plain moral support. Thanks especially to Sheila, Brenda, Jennifer, and Jeremy.
Jane Oliver was the glue that held this project together. She spent countless hours coordinating every detail and kept her cadre of stitchers motivated and moving along. We cannot possibly give her adequate thanks.
And a big thank you to our families, friends and the congregation of Grace Church. Without your continued support and encouragement, this undertaking would have been impossible.
