The Easter lily, which blooms in the spring from a seemingly lifeless bulb, has become a symbol of Christ’s resurrection.

Jackie Ingley said that she learned to needlepoint twelve years ago so that she would be ready for this project when it eventually came along. She had many thoughts: joy at seeing a thought come alive under one’s fingers; beauty in the rich, wonderful colors and the beautiful medallions inside the trefoils; fulfillment in seeing something completed that she had wanted for years; comfort when her hours were long; and the interest shown by the many people close to her. She dedicates her stitching to Grace Church and the members who have given her friendship, happiness and kindness.

Jeann Blankenship dedicates her stitching to her children: Chris, Ben, and Annie, and to all creative spirits who seek to bring joy to the world through beauty.
