Top needlepointed by Judy Carpenter.
Boxing bands needlepointed by Joni Ingram, Nancy Parks, and Jammie Oliver.
Judy Carpenter stitched the top in honor of her husband Craig (who took the last two stitches in the kneeler), her daughter, Kristin (who took several stitches in the blue trefoil), and her mother, Ruth Evelyn Peterson Hill, who has always encouraged Judy’s love of needlework and the church. The top was stitched in memory of Judy’s grandmother, Augusta Bendikta Peterson, who guided Judy’s hands through her first embroidery endeavors.
Joni Ingram stitched her boxing band in memory of her sister, Lisa Rene Farmer. |
