Chi Rho is one of the most ancient monograms of Jesus Christ. The pattern comes from the first two letters (Chi - X and Rho - P) of Christ’s name in Greek. Depicted here is one of simplest representations of Chi Rho, in which the downstroke of the P forms one of the arms of the X. The crown is a symbol of royal authority, and is often used for Christ, the King of Kings. It may also be used as a "crown of life," the eternal reward of the faithful. 2

Jennifer Romberg dedicates her stitching to her wonderful husband, Carl and daughter, Jenrette.  Without their continued support and encouragement, she thinks she might still be stitching her kneeler!! She also dedicates her stitching in memory of her grandmother, Jane Nanninga and in thanksgiving for Carl's grandmother, Elizabeth Romberg, both of whose passion for needlework has rubbed off on her!  Thanks be to God.

Suzanne Green stitched her boxing bands in appreciation of Grace Church Organist, Neil Larson; and Music Director, Cindy DeDakis.
