Nancy Parks shared these thoughts: “Stitching became a work of prayer. Every stitch has a prayer, concern, or thanksgiving in it. A lot of meditating and quiet thought happened while stitching. I talked to God, and he guided my hands. I know this sounds strange, but that is what I did with my time stitching. And I thank God for the chance to do it. Now to honoring someone: it has to go without saying that person would be "patient husband." I don't know any one else who would put up with me, stopping at every needlepoint shop in the country, if I ask, encouraging me and telling me how wonderful my work is even as I am ripping out hours of work I don't like.
