Three fishes represent Jesus as a member of the Trinity. Also, early Christians used the fish as a secret symbol of Christ. The Greek word for Christ (IXT?S) were the first letters of each word in the phrase, “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.” 5 The kneeler design committee felt that fish also signify Grace Church’s ties to the community and to Lake Lanier.
