When the top of an anchor is shaped like a cross the symbol is known as the anchor cross. The inference is that our faith in Christ is an anchor holding us steady in times of storm. 1 The cross also symbolizes the Christian’s faith and hope through Christ.
Brenda Morgan stitched her kneeler’s top “in a spirit of love and gratefulness for all the members of Grace Church. I am especially thankful for Jane Oliver, Judy Carpenter and Peggy Peacock for their leadership in seeing this project to a successful conclusion and for all the stitchers who gave of their time and talent to enhance the beauty of Grace Church.”
